Yummy Donuts

Lately I have been obsessed with painting food. Don't know why, I just find it fun. These donuts are a combination of a couple of photos. Looks good.

Reflections

This photo was a Weekly Challenge on Daily Paintworks. I lovee the water and had to give it a try. Water is so wonderful, and so hard to get right.

Finished painting a close up of my Granddaughter. She is beautiful, and this painting probably doesn't do justice, but I love trying to capture the personality.

This is Winston. Belongs to a friend of mine, and I offered to paint him. What a face, and so much character. I only hope I did him justice.

Plum plumy

Working with texture. The film on a plum is so hard to capture. This was a great exercise. Love it.

Black and white to color challlenge

A challenge on the Daily Paintworks website. This was posted by Belinda DelPesco and the challenge was to take the black and white photograph and add color to it. It was harder than I thought it would be and I'm not particularly happy with the painting, but I'm glad I did the challenge.

Yum

Donuts. Who doesn't love them. The hardest part of this painting was keeping my grandson from eating my props.

I just finished this one and took it to the framers. It turned out ok I think. I want to do more glass - reflections. Very complex.

Name's Chuck

I'm finding I love to paint animals. They are especially challenging, and there are so many elements to them. Eyes, fur and color. This guy I call Chuck. I found that once I had his eyes, the rest was fairly easy. Hope you like. He was so fun to do.
