This is my grandson Michael. Watercolor painting from a photo Michael took of himself. He is a real character. He loves this hat, and wears it all the time. Portraits are difficult to do, but I am pleased with this one. It looks so much better in real life.

This is another take on Beanies. I like this one better than the last. I love all the colors, and the different textures of each one. It is difficult to capture the texture, but a great exercise. My granddaughters love these, and I am having copies made of this one for them.

Another monthly project for WCW. We all paint from the same photo. Its interesting to see how each painting is different. I am kind of happy with the way this came out, although I wish the plaid fabric were better. I did learn how hard plaid is to paint!!!

Flip Flops batik

I love flip flops. These beauties are done in the batik method. Then I added some sparkles for shine. I need to practice more!!

Got Beanies

This little cutie was done after taking the photo for an online scavenger hunt. The colors were just so soft and vibrant I just had to try painting it.

Fragile rose

Beautiful fragile rose. Simple easy and so wonderful.

Spring Tulips

These tulips were painted fast and easy. I have been trying out new watercolor paper. This is Twinrocker, and its yummy. Easy to lift, takes the paint quickly and wonderful to work with. Very expensive tho :(

Polka dot flip flops - Another pastel

These flip flops was a quick and easy pastel I did on a brown paper grocery bag. I really have to invest in some pastel paper!!! Pastel is really fun to experiment with, because unlike watercolor you don't have to wait for them to dry!!!!

Little Captain

This is a Watercolor 1\4 sheet Arches 140# paper. The little sweetie is my oldest grandson Michael. He was Captain for the day and took us for a boat ride around Lake Washington. This is almost finished, and has a seal of approval from the Little Captain himself
